Grace's Stuffed Mushrooms



Ingredients

  • 32 ounces mushrooms
  • 4 TABLEspoons butter (half a stick)
  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 4 TEAspoons fresh parsley, minced
  • 1/2 TEAspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 TEAspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 TEAspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400° F.
  • Wash mushrooms and pull stems
  • Finely chop the mushroom stems.
  • In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook the mushroom stems in the butter for 5 minutes.  After 5 minutes add in:
    • Cream cheese
    • Half of the parmesan cheese
    • Pepper
    • Garlic powder
    • Onion powder
    • Parsley
  • Stir until well combined and the cream cheese is completely melted. Remove mixture from the pan to a bowl and set aside to slightly cool.
  • Spoon filling into each mushroom cap and top with remaining parmesan cheese
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
