Sauerkraut



Ingredients

  • 1 lbs bacon, chopped
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 quarts sauerkraut, undrained
  • 2-4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 can of beer
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • brown sugar, to taste

Directions

  • Cook Bacon
  • Cook Onions
  • Add with all with everything but brown sugar
  • Bring to boil then simmer for 30-45 minutes
  • Add brown sugar as needed to reduce 'whang'
